(49) *Kobitay Chandogya Upanishad * (Part 6, Chapters 5 ,6 )

॥ षष्ठोऽध्यायः ॥

॥ पञ्चमः खण्डः ॥
----------------
अन्नमशितं त्रेधा विधीयते तस्य यः स्थविष्ठो धातुस्तत्पुरीषं भवति यो मध्यमस्तन्माँसं योऽणिष्ठस्तन्मनः ॥ १ ॥
आपः पीतास्त्रेधा विधीयन्ते तासां यः स्थविष्ठो धातुस्तन्मूत्रं भवति यो मध्यमस्तल्लोहितं योऽणिष्ठः स प्राणः ॥ २ ॥
तेजोऽशितं त्रेधा विधीयते तस्य यः स्थविष्ठो धातुस्तदस्थि भवति यो मध्यमः स मज्जा योऽणिष्ठः सा वाक् ॥ ३ ॥
अन्नमयँहि सोम्य मनः आपोमयः प्राणस्तेजोमयी वागिति भूय एव मा भगवान्विज्ञापयत्विति तथा सोम्येति होवाच ॥ ४ ॥

|| পঞ্চম খন্ড ||

(১) অন্ন ভোজন করিলে আহারের হয়  ত্রি-বিভাজন ,
মল-স্থুলাংশ, মধ্যম -মাংস, সুক্ষ্মভাগ হয় মন !! 

(২)
পানীয় জল ও পেয় হয়ে হয় যে ত্রিধাবিভক্ত ,
স্থুলভাগ-মুত্র , সুক্ষ্মভাগ-প্রান আর মধ্য হয় রক্ত !!

(৩) অগ্নি আহার্য যখন - তার    উপকরণের ও হয় তিন ভাগ ,,,,
স্থুলভাগ অস্থি হয় ,মধ্যম মজ্জা ,সূক্ষ্ম অংশ হয় 'বাক' ||

(৪) " প্রিযপুত্র মোর খাদ্য হতে মন , জল হতে প্রান জেনো...
অগ্নি (স্নেহপদার্থ) হতে হয় বাক্যের প্রকাশ - এমনি তুমি মেনো !! "

"বিশদে বলুন পিতা "কহিল পুত্র তখন,
পিতা জ্ঞানের তরে তাহার করিলেন কথন !!

Part five

Chapter five
--------------

(1) 'Food, when eaten, becomes divided into three parts.
Its grossest ingredient, that becomes faeces, The middling ingredient becomes flesh, and the subtlest ingredient becomes mind.

(2) 'Water, when drunk, becomes divided into three parts. What is its grossest ingredient, that becomes urine; what is the middling ingredient, that becomes blood; and what is the subtlest ingredient, that becomes Prana.
(3) 'Fire, when eaten, becomes divided into three parts. What is its grossest ingredient, that becomes bone; what is the middling ingredient, that becomes marrow; and what is the subtlest ingredient, hat becomes speech.
(4)  'Hence, dear boy, mind is made up of food, Prana is made up of water, and speech is made of fire. 'Explain it further to me, revered sir'. 'Be it so, dear boy', said the father.

॥ षष्ठः खण्डः ॥ 
-------------
दध्नः सोम्य मथ्यमानस्य योऽणिमा स उर्ध्वः समुदीषति तत्सर्पिर्भवति ॥ १ ॥
एवमेव खलु सोम्यान्नस्याश्यमानस्य योऽणिमा स उर्ध्वः समुदीषति तन्मनो भवति ॥ २ ॥
अपाँसोम्य पीयमानानां योऽणिमा स उर्ध्वः समुदीषति सा प्राणो भवति ॥ ३ ॥
तेजसः सोम्याश्यमानस्य योऽणिमा स उर्ध्वः समुदीषति सा वाग्भवति ॥ ४ ॥
अन्नमयँ हि सोम्य मन आपोमयः प्राणस्तेजोमयी वागिति भूय एव मा भगवान्विज्ञापयत्विति तथा सोम्येति होवाच ॥ ६ ॥

||  ষষ্ঠ খন্ড ||

(১) মাখন যেমনে হয় উত্পন্ন দধির মন্থনে ,
উপরিভাগে উঠিয়া সুক্ষ্মভাগ হয় মাখন যেমনে ,,

(২) তেমনি আহার্যের সুক্ষ্মভাগ উর্দ্ধে উঠিয়া -
উত্পন্ন করে মন - এ রাখো জানিয়া ...

(৩) আবার সমপন্থায় উত্পন্ন হয় প্রান জল হতে ,
উর্ধ্বে উঠি জলের সুক্ষভাগ পরিনত হয় প্রাণেতে !!

(৪) এইরূপে অগ্নি হইলে আহার্য -তাহার সুক্ষ্মভাগ ,
উর্ধ্বে গমন করি হয় যা - তারেই কহি বাক !!

(৫) " অন্ন হতে মন আসিল , প্রান এলো জল হতে ,
হে পুত্র বাকশক্তি আসিল অগ্নি হতে "...

কহে পুত্র "বিশদে বলুন এ জ্ঞান এবার আমারে ....."
" তবে তাই হোক " এ শুনিয়া পিতা কহিলেন তাঁরে !!

Part Six

Chapter six
-------------

(1) "My Dear boy, as the curd churned its subtlest part rises upwards and that becomes butter. "

(2) "So also, of the food that is eaten that which is the subtlest part rises upwards and that becomes the mind."

(3) " Of the water that is drunk that which is the subtlest part rises upwards and that becomes Prana. "

(4) "Of the fire that is eaten that which is the subtlest part rises upwards and that becomes speech."

(5) "Hence, dear boy, mind is made up of food, Prana- made up of water, and speech - made up of fire" .

"Explain it further to me, revered sir" .
"Be it so, dear boy", said the father.
